Evanthia Reboutsika’s music score for the Turkish film “Babam ve Oglum” (“My Father and My Son”) won a best film music award at the 2006 World Soundtrack Awards held at Ghent in Belgium.
The artist won the “Discovery of the Year 2006” award, one of the most important international music awards and considered a “good indicator” of the Oscar for Best Film Music.
This is an important prize for the Greek composer, not only because she had to compete with 3,000 film soundtracks from all over the world, but also because the “Discovery of the Year” award is awarded to emerging composers in international cinema.
